the area

We are operating out of Nelson, Tasman Bay. Traditionally an area of artists and potters, it is recently gaining popularity for its fine wines and cafes and restaurants. A daytrip away is the Abel Tasman National Park with white sandy beaches and glorious native bush walks. Or you can sail up to Farewell Spit, a unique sandspit stretching out into the Tasman Sea.

French Pass

On the east side of Tasman Bay is the wild D’urville Island and French Pass, where a strong tidal current will carry you round into the endless Marlborough Sounds, a favourite watering hole of Captain Cook.

Marlborough Sounds

Branching fiords, thousands of kilometers of coastline with native bush down to the water is waiting for you.
